Goals: This is a first course in computers and programming.
Text: An Introduction to Object-Oriented Design in C++ by Jo Ellen Perry and Harold D. Levin.
Homework and Grades: There will be weekly programming assignments arranged as laboratories. There will be no tests, rather, the student will keep a lab notebook to document the lab experiences and present this notebook at midterm and final. The nodebook will be in the form of Web-Pages in which the student summarizes the lab and reexplains for fellow students the concepts learned in the lab. There are extensive Web-authoring and multimedia tools available in the lab to help the student with these pages.
Note: See these pages for additional class materials as the course progresses.
