the same school or college.
- A course may be used to satisfy the requirements of only one cognate,

(But courses can be options in multiple cognates.)
- There are no restrictions placed on the number or type of students
who declare a given cognate.
- Majors and minors cannot require students to take specific cognates
outside the Area of Knowledge fulfilled by the major or minor.
